A few Sears Homes of Chicagoland readers requested that I cover more Sears catalog homes in Lansing. I haven't had a chance to visit Lansing lately, but luckily there have been a few Sears homes for sale with photos online. Let's take a look!

Three interesting houses! While the Rochelle feels more substantial rendered in stone, I think I prefer the warmer and fuzzier look of the shingled exterior.
The end-of-the-porch steps and unsheltered portion of the porch floor must have been problematic for lots of Conway owners; many of the examples I have seen show that section of the porch to have been removed (as seen here).
The Vallonia is fortunate to have retained its signature Craftsman porch supports; they're a great feature!
That's a good point about the Conway entrance that I have not discussed before. I do prefer the steps on the side! You can see both approaches here:
